Laos Traditions

laos traditions="laos traditions"
are the poor undeveloped and rural parts of china traditional?

k so im chinese (look at my name:D) and my family is from the city of chengdu/chongqing. It seems like ever since maos chairman ship from 1949-1976 has really changed china. My family is athiest, at chinese partys ive never seen someone where a qipao besides chinese new year, and indians where there little sari things. China isnt sexest at all, and most women work. my indian friends still havethere traditions and stuff. in the joy luck club china seeemed traditional, but that was before 1949. Is china developed? i have never been there. whats it like? is it like pictures of bangladesh and laos and vietnam, or is it actually how you see on tv. How are the human rights bad!?!? i have noo cluee

Majority still are. In most rural places, big store names and sporting good outlets are few. It's expected to be that way since market is weak in rural places. Nobody really wears qipao nowadays except in big Chinese restaurants / hotels. Most of the poorer villages does look quite undeveloped and old. But in popular cities such as Beijing or Shanghai, the place is really nice and beautiful. Lots of international brand stores too.
