Laos Government Website

laos government website="laos government website"
Left for dead?

I am looking to join my local Rolling Thunder chapter and I saw something on their website that I hoping is not true (or that they are mistaken).

The website says:

"600 Americans were lost in Laos (The Black Hole), NOT A SINGLE MAN WAS EVER RELEASED. The Pathet Laos government stated on several occasions that they held prisoners, yet our government NEVER NEGOTIATED FOR THEIR FREEDOM."

Anyone know if this is true or not?

Not true.

Here is the proof below:

Great Recipes from Laos?

Hi everyone. I'm doing a project for school and I need a recipe from Laos. There will be tons of displys in my cafe, so I need a finger food. Desserts with some type of fruit would be great! thanks for all your help in advance. :D

Sai Ua Moo
PORK SAUSAGES
Ingredients

400 grams pork meat, including some fat, washed and minced 150 grams pork fat, washed and minced

2 dried chilli peppers, soaked in water until soft

10 (small) shallots

10 black peppercorns

pound the above three ingredients together finely

coriander leaves, finely chopped

salt and fish sauce

1 pig's intestine, turned inside out and washed and then turned right side out again

Method

Place in a bowl the pounded ingredients, the minced pork, the minced pork fat and the chopped coriander leaves. Add the fish sauce and mix all together. Take a very small sample portion of the mixture, wrap it in pieces of banana leaf and grill it until cooked. Taste it and check the saltiness. (If this test is satisfactory you can proceed to make the sausages. If the taste of the grilled sample is not right, adjust the seasoning.)

Stuff a section of the pig's intestine with the mixture from the bowl, taking care not to include any air bubbles. If there are any, use a needle to let them escape.

Tie the intestine into portions as you stuff it, each portion to be 15 cm long. There should be two knots between each section with a space in between for cutting them apart. Use a bamboo holder to grill them until they are done. Then transfer them to a platter.

American K-3 Visas for Spouses from Laos

The following article is designed to merely act as something of a primer for those seeking information about the American K-3 visa process and provide elucidation regarding the possible reasoning behind the current policy of "administrative closing" of many K-3 visa applications.

The K-3 visa was originally designed as an expedited travel document for those awaiting the processing of their immigrant visa petition at the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) at a point in time when that agency had a significantly larger backlog of immigrant visa petitions compared to the current estimated processing times. Presently, K-3 visa petitions could receive adjudication after the adjudication of the underlying immigrant visa petition. In circumstances such as these there are those who might argue that the K-3 visa's utility is mitigated by the fact that there is no need for expedited processing due to USCIS's backlog and the immigration benefits conferred by K-3 status do not include lawful permanent residence and therefore one entering the United States in K3 visa status would still need to apply for an adjustment of status resulting in further overall expenses in time, money, and effort.

Logic such as that described above may account, at least partially, for the American State Department's National Visa Center (NVC) dictating the policy that K-3 visa applications would be "administratively closed" when approved K-3 petitions arrive at NVC at the same time, or before, the approved immigrant visa petition. This policy has probably resulted in some Laotian-American bi-national couples being forced to seek immigrant visa benefits rather than non-immigrant K-3 or K-4 benefits thereby necessitating the submission of an application for IR-1 or CR-1 immigration benefits. It is interesting to point out that the Laotian husband or wife of a United States Citizen entering the USA pursuant to approval of both an Immigrant visa petition and application will be accorded either Conditional or Unconditional Lawful Permanent Residence in the United States of America upon lawful admission at an U.S. Port of Entry.

Those thinking of seeking visa benefits for a Laotian loved one ought to do research in order to learn about immigration options in an effort to make an informed decision about submitting a petition for American immigration benefits. It should be pointed out that it is also wise to ask for the license of those claiming expertise in matters pertaining to United States Immigration law as licensed attorneys from the USA are permitted to represent clients before the Department of Homeland Security as well as the Department of State during the US visa process. Whereas those without licensure as an American attorney are not entitled to practice US Immigration law pursuant to U.S. Federal statute.

Laos' Plain of Jars

Considered one of the poorest nations in Southeast Asia, you may think that Laos has nothing to offer being a tourist destination. That didn't hinder tourists to discover this archaeological wonder that has the makings of being an asia travel spot. Haven't you heard, there's this historical landmark that consists of thousands of jars scattered in the highlands of Laos called Plain of Jars. Situated at Xieng Khouang plain, this Laos pride consists of thousands of stone jars big and small distributed in the place.

It is believed that this stone jars ages from 1,500–2,000 years and older. According to a local folktale, the emerging of jars began when the king of the giants Khun Jeuam fought and won a battle against the evil ruler Chao Angka. The king, whose fond of throwing parties brew and store huge amounts of lao lao rice wine in this huge stone jars. When the archaeologists studied the jars, they have found burned bones, beads and iron tools leading them to the conclusion that these jars were used as giant urns to bury the dead. Another mystery yet unsolved is how the jars are made. Locals believed that these jars were made from clay, sand, sugar, and animal products mixing together to form a cement-like mixture.

Since the time of Pathet Lao-American war began, most of the jars were destroyed by bomb explosions leaving bomb craters and trench systems in the area. This makes the area dangerous until today due to unexploded bombs that was a result of massive bombardment of the recent wars. In fact only three sites of the plain is safe for visitors and locals alike. Aside from the huge stone jars, you can also found original artifacts like Buddhist statues, colonial items and scraps from the exploded bombs in the US war. Like no other, Plain of Jars is the mute witness of Laos' historical occurrence in the past and in the years to come.

History Of Karate Today

The history of Karate is a long and meandering path of development, across seas from Japan and Okinawa, through the heart of long-ago China and over the mountains into ancient India.

For many karateka training in a traditional, style, there is a certain satisfaction in making a connection to the past through training as their predecessors trained (or close to it) and, by observing tradition, carrying on values and practices still considered useful and important. But what is traditional? Through the ages, martial arrs undergo many changes: they adapt to new circumstances, they branch-off and are altered, they are lead by new people. Others die with their inheritors. In the end, what we have may be likened to the message in a game of Chinese whispers; altered from its origins by so many people that any obvious links to its beginnings may be hard to find.

The many stories that make up karate's history have not escaped the Chinese-whisper syndrome. Modern karate's origins have been the subject of research and debate for so long that the history of karare now has its own history! This is partly because unearthing karate's earliest predecessors requires mapping the entire history of the martial arts in the East.

Many know Okinawa, an island 550 kilometres south of the Japanese mainland, as the birthplace of karate. But let's look first to Japan, considered home to most karate systems existing today. Karate is now practised in an estimated 120 countries and takes many forms. Of these, some of the most famous were founded in Japan after World War II, prominent examples being Mas Oyama's Kyokushin and Choiro Tani's Shukokai. At the same time in Okinawa, the dominant schools (Ryu) were Shorin-Ryu, Goju-Ryu, Uechi-Ryu and Matsubayashi-Ryu. Although there had been karate demonstrations outside Japan in the late 1920s and '30s, it was in the post-war years that karate arrived in European and Western countries like Australia. The Japan Karate Association, formed in 1948, assisted in spreading karate world-wide.

The many styles that developed inside Japan all grew from various Okinawan karate systems introduced to Japan early in the 20th century. Around 1902, karate was added to Okinawan schools' physical education programs and the secrecy that had surrounded the art lessened. However, some changes were made to kata for the purpose of teaching children and giving public demonstrations, and it is said this contributed to the loss of some knowledge concerning kata bunkai (applications) and thus the hiding of some of karate's deadliest defences.

Shuri-te karate master Anko Itosu (1830-1915) pioneered this development and, though not alone, his student Funakoshi Gichin is the Okinawan most often credited with the establishment of karate in Japan. In the early '20s, Funakoshi impressed Japan's Crown Prince with a karate demonstration and his art was later given support by Judo's famous founder, Jigaro Kano, securing karate's acceptance by the Japanese.

Many Japanese held racist attitudes toward things Chinese or Okinawan, so these events were vital for Karate's growth. The Okinawan's originally called Kara?te tou-di, meaning China-hand. 'Hand' is a literal translation of te or di, which was used to describe Okinawa's fighting arts just as the Chinese used the word for fist. To help karate blend into Japanese culture, the character tou was changed to a Japanese one meaning empty, hence we now have kara-te-do, 'the way of the empty hand'.

From there, Kenwa Mabuni founded Shito-Ryu (1928), and Chojun Miyagi established Goju-Ryu (1930). Funakoshi founded Shotokan in 1938 and Hironori Otsuka blended jiu-jitsu with karate (learned from Funakoshi) to form Wado-Ryu in 1939. Universities in Tokyo and Osaka formed karate clubs and the art of Okinawan China-hand soon became Japanese. The Butokukai, Japan's top combat-arts organisation, also helped Japanise karate, creating standards for teaching and developing ways to competitively test the arts. These were the beginnings of sport-karate.

The various Okinawan karate schools had always been scattered and disorganised, divided into closely guarded regional and family groups (much like the arts of China). Many styles existed but the primary three schools were all concentrated in a small area of southern Okinawa and named after their towns of origin: Naha, a town of merchants, Shuri, home to royalty, and Tomari, inhabited by farmers and fishermen. Variation between the styles is partly attributed to the distinct influences of these different classes of society.

Shuri-te featured long, low stances and an offensive approach, considered derivative of Shaolin Temple kung fu, while Naha-te is considered the most Chinese, incorporating hard and soft methods, breathing techniques and ki, (Chi or vital energy) control. Tomari-te (which focused on using the arms) developed from these two and together they were the basis for the Japanese styles; Naha-te became Goju-Ryu and Shorin-Ryu is a product of both Naha-te and Shuri-te. From the Goju and Shorin schools emerged Shito-Ryu, and so on.

The facts concerning Okinawa's sources of martial arts influence are often vague and unverifiable, some say because WWII bombs have destroyed much of the evidence. Still, aside from the continual development of self-defence methods among Okinawans, it is accepted that Chinese martial arts have most greatly influenced present-day karate. In fact, Chojun Miyagi said a style of kung fu that arrived in 1828 was "the source" of Goju-Ryu.

This passage of combat knowledge from China is closely linked to a book of Chinese origin called the Bubishi, the subject of Kyoshi Patrick McCarthy's book, The Bible of Karate. Published sometime during China's Qing dynasty (1644-1911), it details Chinese kung fu history, technique and philosophy. It's believed the Bubishi was written by a White Crane boxer, Fang Qiniang, the daughter of an Eighteen Monk Fist kung fu stylist who escaped the destruction of the Shaolin Temple by government forces (Shaolin was known to house and train revolutionaries) and settled in Fujian, China. Both feature in the Bubishi, as do their systems. This book was kept secret and hand-copied by generations of Okinawan masters; Funakoshi's books even contain chapters taken directly from the Bubishi.

McCarthy's extensive research exposed 10 more-or-less plausible theories as to who brought the Bubishi to Okinawa. Featured among them are some Okinawan masters who trained in China, including Uechi-Ryu founder Uechi Kanbun, who studied Shaolin Tiger kung fu in Fuzhou around 1897. Yet, while the Bubishi is of great importance to Okinawan karate, it did not arrive in Okinawa until sometime in the 1800s and was preceded by many more influential exchanges.

Common folklore tells of karate's development by downtrodden peasants, their weapons confiscated by Japanese invaders, who developed secret fighting traditions while their rulers slept. Legend has it that this is why karate gis look like pyjamas: because they once were, and the tradition has carried on. However, these romantic origins are considered unrealistic by most historians, as Okinawan combative traditions go back much further.

In the 800 years between 600 and 1400 A.D., Okinawa experienced territorial fighting under the rule of warrior-chieftans and in the 10th century military power struggles in Japan saw some warrior clans move to Okinawa. From 794 to 1185, Japan's methods of war were introduced, including grappling, swordsmanship and other weapon-arts.

Okinawa's regional warring continued until 1429, when the rival groups came under one rule as the Ryukyu Kingdom. In 1507, feudalism (a system whereby peasants farmed for a wealthy lord and fought in his army) was abolished and private ownership of weapons was outlawed. This, says Kyoshi McCarthy, "explains why the Uchinanchu [Okinawans] began intensively cultivating an unarmed means of self-defence".

So, long before karate was exported from Okinawa to Japan, the Japanese were bringing their own combative arts to Okinawa. However, Chinese kung fu's influence was more recent and is more evident in the Okinawan karate that exists today. Again, there are many theories explaining how it got there.

Okinawa established trade with China during the Ming Dynasty and by 1393, a group of Chinese referred to as the 36 Families was settled in Naha, Okinawa. There, Okinawans were taught Chinese language, culture and, it is assumed, martial arts. During this period, Okinawan students also travelled to China to study and possibly learn martial arts. Another likely source are the sapposhi (representatives of the Chinese Emperor) who, in the 1400s, came to Okinawa for months at a time with many multi-skilled people in tow, including security experts. The Chinese kung fu that arrived in Okinawa, possibly by one or all of these means, was then used to police the island. After 1509, with even government officials barred from carrying weapons, these civil-defence methods went underground, but were secretly practised and developed by the middle-level samurai class known as pechin, whose responsibilities included law-enforcement. In 1609 Japan's Satsuma clan captured the Ryukyu Kingdom and until Okinawa became part of Japan in 1879, eclectic fighting traditions grew. Due to the weapon bans, kobudo evolved through Okinawans making use of domestic and farming implements instead, of which the sai is an example (it is said to have once been a hay-fork).

Some pechin also visited Satsuma and learned the Jigen-Ryu ken-jitsu of the Satsuma samurai; it is thought that the six-foot staff techniques of Okinawan kobudo originated there. One example is Matsumura Sokon, an important figure in Shuri-te who was a security agent for various Ryukyuan kings and studied martial arts in Satsuma and Fujian, China.

But to fully explore the origins of China-hand, one must look to China. Most brief histories of karate begin with the legend of the Indian monk Daruma (in Japanese) or Bodhidharma, generally described as a skilled martial artist born into a warrior caste. He travelled to China around the Sixth Century AD to spread Zen Buddhism, settling at the Shaolin monastery to teach Buddhist meditation and philosophy, and physical movements that included striking - the alleged beginnings of the kung fu systems mentioned so far.

However, there is evidence of strong warrior traditions existing in China long before the arrival of Daruma (the first emperor to unify China, Qin Shi Huang, for example, left terracotta replicas of his entire army in Xi'an in 210 BC). It could also be logically concluded that fighting methods and traditions existed to an extent in all human societies, just as surely as quarrels and aggression existed. Texts discovered in China, reportedly 4,000 years old, detail systematic physical training, while 2,800 year-old writings describing unarmed combat have also been found in Europe. That aside, the previously mentioned systems of Monk Fist and White Crane kung fu can be traced to Shaolin.

While it is uncertain how much of Daruma's story is true, the legend is strong and there is little doubt that the texts and exercises introduced to Shaolin have been influential there. However, there have since been many other developments in the kung fu of Shaolin, with various influences flowing into and out from the Temples, leading to the creation of many different styles.

Keeping in mind that traditions are ever-changing, the predecessors of Shaolin martial arts are not necessarily the true origin of karate, just as one person in a game of Chinese whispers has only a small influence on what is whispered at the end of the line. Due to Okinawa's location (just 740 kilometres east of China and 550 north of Taiwan) it attracted the attention of pilgrims, traders and pirates of many races and has therefore had centuries of cultural exchange with Korea, Laos, Cambodia and numerous other Asian cultures with martial traditions. Some karate historians even say that the need for Okinawa's sailors to protect themselves against pirates played a part in the development of Okinawan te, which has existed in various forms for at least 1,000 years.

Despite the focus of Japanese martial traditions on weaponry and grappling during the periods that Okinawa was most exposed to them, their influence on Okinawan karate and kobudo should not be discounted either. So, to provide a complete history of today's karate, it would be wise to also include the history of all Japanese martial arts. That, however, would be another story entirely!

A good analogy for the history of karate might be that no child is born of only one parent; they will therefore have four grandparents, eight great-grandparents, and so on. It can be said that all karate systems in existence today are the descendants of many different parents, each with unique genes but also similarities, evidence of shared ancestors somewhere in their lineage.

That said, it is well worth digging around for the many great individual stories that make up the history of karate. Some of us might also benefit from researching a history that is more personal, immediate and accessible: what of your teacher, his life and his art? Who has he trained with, in what systems? How has karate affected him, and he it? And what of his teacher?

Although the past is often more wondrous than any prediction of the future, historians uncover it not only out of curiosity; their common aim, it is often said, is to learn about the present from the events of history. So, by uncovering your instructors' karate history, you should learn much that will help you on your own journey. You may also choose to learn from the history presented in this article and write it down carefully for future generations.

God, Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity: Secret Wisdom of World Spiritual Teachers Exposed

Only the TRUTH, and nothing but the TRUTH shall set you free

For thousands of years, all the world's greatest spiritual teachers: Buddha, Mahavira, Lao Tzu, Bodhidarma, Socrates, Plato, Jesus Christ, Muhammad, Osho Rajneesh (and others) have been preaching the same thing to humanity.

We can summarize all of their teachings in just 2 words "Know Yourself".

What do they mean by that?

Why is "Knowing Yourself" the Foundation of WISDOM?

How do you know yourself?

Who are You? And who is this "Yourself"?

You're are "God" or "Consciousness" or "Infinity".

But at the moment, you don't know it, because you're living in a body with unawareness and allowing your mind to run your life.

So for now, you've not realized you're god (that is become "Enlightened") because you're controlled by your mind. So "You" = Mind

"Yourself" means the unknown parts or dimensions of your being; that is both the inner and outer dimensions of your being.

There are two kinds of knowing.

The first is: knowing from the outside; objective studying from outside. This is science.

The second kind of knowing is from the inside.

This is "TMT Power Secrets"! (Transcendental Mental Technology)

TMT is the science that enables a person to master both the knowing from outside and the knowing from the inside to become aware of all the dimensions of his/her being, and so become 100% conscious, enlightened and an immortal.

The inside (psyche) is the foundation of outside (the physical body and the material world).

Compiling facts about things (research) and memorizing them is not "knowing from inside".

It is just accumulation of facts about things outside you (= knowing from outside = knowledge).

So " knowledge" is not the same as " knowing".

Knowledge (what you do at school) is just the accumulation of facts about things outside you.

"Knowing", means to have an experience of the facts subjectively too.

It is easy to know things from outside objectively.

That is why many people remain on the outside.

The world is filled with hundreds of millions of knowledgeable people, intellectuals, experts, scholars and scientists, but all of them are just knowledgeable. They are not "knowers", (= don't have "wisdom", i.e. inner knowing)

To know things from inside, subjectively is not easy, and requires courage.

For example it is easy to study fire and write tomes of scholarly treatises about the philosophy of fire: how to create fire; different types and colors of fire; how to use fire; and to put fire out and so on. (This is knowing fire from the outside)

But is not easy for one to put his finger in the fire to be burned so as to have a direct experience of what is fire! (This is knowing fire from the inside, through a direct experience)

That is why there are very few "knowers" in the world, men and women of wisdom!

Many people are intelligent, scholarly and knowledgeable BUT very few are "knowers"!

You can't understand how the outside works and what makes it so, until you know it from the inside.

That is why if you keep studying things from the outside material world, you'll keep getting more and more puzzles. Never a conclusive answer!

You'll never reach any answers. This is the problem which Science has today.

It is always seeking for answers but always ending up in riddles, enigmas and mysteries, with no answers.

The solution is not on the outside. The solution is in the "inside".

Scientists must begin inner investigations of reality, so that they will begin to understand the outside reality.

They must first get to know "The Knower", (themselves) and then it will become possible for them to find answers through science.

If you don't know "yourself", how can you know others?

How can you know the outside world? ‘Who" will be doing the knowing?

You've to know "the knower" (= You) first.

This is the beginning of "Wisdom", or what we've called "TMT Power Secrets".

After you've known yourself, ("who" you really are), then it becomes possible to know everything else!

That was what Jesus Christ in Christian Bible meant when he said "SEEK YOU THE "KINGDOM OF GOD" FIRST (THE INNER WORLD, CONSCIOUSNESS, "KNOW YOURSELF", INFINITY") AND EVERYTHING WILL BE ADDED TO YOU"

The "kingdom of God" is a symbol for INFINITY or CONSCIOUSNESS.

Symbolism is a common tool for expressing "Wisdom", (meaning: using material objects to represent inner abstract personal subjective experiences)

But a calamity has happened for thousands of years because billions of human beings don't know the meaning of these symbols and codes and have taken them literally.

For example, when they read in their scriptures about "going to heaven" (= "kingdom of God"), they take it literally, by thinking that "heaven" is in the sky and that after they die, they will go there if they performed good deeds in their lives.

They don't know that "heaven" is a symbol representing the human brain.

And "going to heaven" is a symbolic way of "opening the right hemisphere of the brain" so that your consciousness will expand! (alchemy, hermetic science and Gnosticism taught by Thoth, the ancient Egyptian God of Wisdom)

In the average human being, only a tiny percentage of the left hemisphere of the brain (rational mind) is functioning and conscious. The right hemisphere is unconscious and you're unaware of it.

When you go to sleep, sometimes, you dive into this right hemisphere part of brain. Its where all the dreams occur.

The secret science on how to awaken this right hemisphere of the brain and unite it with the left hemisphere of the brain, so that you'll become 100% conscious, enlightened and beyond human (= an immortal) is the hidden teaching of all the world spiritual teachers and it is the TRUE spirituality and what "TMT Power Secrets" is all about.

Jesus Christ also made it clear in the Bible that he taught using symbols, and in parables to conceal this secret hidden teaching from the public, the profane; those who are not yet ready to go beyond their humanity.

So, why have all the priests and the churches and billions of human beings been interpreting the teachings of Jesus literally?

Why have the church, mosques, temples, priests, rabbis and Imams brainwashed the people to believe that the "Kingdom of God" or heaven is in the sky and that they will go there after they die as long as they keep going to the churches, temples and mosques and donating their hard earned money and assets?

Why have they been deceiving their congregations to give up their wealth, possession and happiness on Earth and let the priests and church possess them, so that after they die, they will go to heaven, and live in the Kingdom of God for eternity where they will be rewarded with drinking milk and honey and the men will have a harem of beautiful 18 yr old virgin girls?

Is this not a scam? Is this not an outright deception? Is this not a damnable Fraud?

Even the false fundamentalist Islamic priests are now brainwashing their youths to commit suicidal bombing in the name of their God, Allah and become martyrs with the promise that after they die, they will go to heaven where Allah will reward them with 3 wives, milk and honey.

Even in the same Bible Jesus warned against these false priests (wolves in sheep's clothing) and church. He called them "brood of vipers!" and "White sepulcher"!

He admonished people Not to listen to them and never to believe that the "Kingdom of God" is in sky.

He said, "If the Kingdom is in the sky, then it is futile for man, because the birds of sky will reach there first!"

Why is this Not clear enough to a billion Christians?

One must wonder if the 1 billion humans or so who believe they are Christians ever read their Bible at all?

Why is it that people don't listen to the true teachings of Enlightened beings, but prefer to wallow in ignorance and mumbo jumbo teachings and false interpretations of false priests which are designed to exploit, manipulate and enslave them?

Why do people chose to keep going to the church every Sunday, and also the synagogue, temples and mosques where the priests and organized religions keep brainwashing and hypnotizing them by filling their skulls with sophism, mumbo jumbo garbage and irrationalities of different stripes which they call religion.

And who is "the knower"?

The" knower" is you.

You're made up of Consciousness, which is what we called "INFINITY".

You have a mind (and EGO is the center), and a body, which are your tools for accessing different forms of reality.

The mind and the body have many levels and many dimensions.

So, you the "CONSCIOUSNESS", "INFINITY", has a mind and a body which have many levels and dimensions.

The average human being is only aware of two dimensions.

The human dimension (physical world) and the dream dimension (spiritual world).

You're not aware that the "Living Mankind", "Living Earth", "The Living Sun", "The Living Universe" and "The Living Cosmos" are also your bodies!!! (Your larger bodies)

And their minds are also your higher minds: The Super-conscious minds.

Why are you not aware of this? Because your Consciousness is limited by your human mind!

Your human thoughts, mind and body are blocking your awareness of these other higher parts and dimensions of you.

To become aware of the higher dimensions of your being, (your higher self, other parts, beyond your humanity) you must go beyond your human mind and body.

This is what all the greatest spiritual teachers of the world: Socrates, Paracelsus, Buddha, Nagarjuna, Bodhidarma, Lao Tzu, Jesus, Muhammad, Osho Rajneesh symbolically referred to as "Kingdom of God", "Nirvana", "Paradise", "The Way", "The Lotus Paradise" and others.

The science and technology of going beyond your human body and mind is what is called "Enlightenment."

When you go beyond your human body and mind, you'll go beyond space and time, beyond past and future, and you'll become INFINITY, an IMMORTAL.

When you do that, you go beyond cause and effect, the cycle of birth and death, karma, yin and yang of nature.

You become "twice born again", and the "Son or daughter of God".

God is a symbol that represents Consciousness or INFINITY.

This word, "God" has become over used, polluted and corrupted, misused and misunderstood, so we'll must stop using it and begin to use a new and more scientific term, INFINITY.

So when you're "twice born again", you become the son or daughter of God, INFINITY, an Immortal.

This is what "TMT: Transcendental Mental Technology" is about.

May these insights into God, world religions, true spirituality, hidden wisdom, the SECRET teachings of Thoth the God of Wisdom, Socrates, Paracelsus, Buddha, Mahavira, Nagarjuna, Bodhidarma, Lao Tzu, Kabir, Jesus Christ, Mohammed, and Osho Rajneesh inspire and awaken you to embark on the journey to "Enlightenment", your only true goal on earth.

Greeting Card Verses And Famous Quotes Galore! Verses From A Real Greeting Card Writer!

My name is Father Time and I have been writing greeting card verses for years! I have posted over a hundred and fifty articles on www.ArticlesBase.com in the past several months and five of my most popularly viewed articles were ones that contained some of my great greeting card verses. Those five articles were viewed over 2,000 times cumulatively. I am compiling for this piece, several of the verses in those five articles, just in case you have missed them! I will also include some of those quotes from famous people!

I give you my permission to use these greeting card verses that I have penned as long as you don’t put them into mass produced cards that will be sold commercially. IF you make cards and sell them in limited quantities, such as; at a church bazaar, that's fine.  IF you make 5 to 10 of the same card with one of my verses, perhaps you can be a Sweetie and send me one as a gift. You are likely to receive a gift in exchange.

Serious Lover Verse

The sun was bright and the skies so blue,

Was thinking about my love for you.

Your beautiful eyes, your smile, your face,

Charming personality, style and grace.

Was a fantastic day with you on my mind,

Love like this, most people don’t find.

We’re very lucky; you know it’s true,

You love me and I adore you!

Don’t really know how it all came about,

But I’m confident and have no doubt,

Want to be with you forever and a day.

Just one more thing that I’d like to say;

Wherever we go, whatever we do,

I’ll always be deeply in love with you!

LOVE

I look into your eyes…

I see something that makes my life complete.

I look at your smile…

And I find a reason to live.

I touch your face…

And I feel content.

I hold you in my arms…

I feel, at that very moment, a warmth of love

Throughout my entire being!

Friendship

You are a better friend than most,

I am sure that you will always be in my life.

I don’t know how I got lucky enough to have

You come into my world, but I am so happy

That you did!

I just wanted to brighten your day,

And let you know that you mean the world to me.

Most people are not lucky enough,

To have an amazing friend such as you!

Laos Interesting Facts

laos interesting facts="laos interesting facts"
What are some interesting facts about Laos?

Laos border countries: Burma 235 km, Cambodia 541 km, China 423 km, Thailand 1,754 km, Vietnam 2,130 km.

Modern-day Laos has its roots in the ancient Lao kingdom of Lan Xang, established in the 14th Century under King FA NGUM. For three hundred years Lan Xang included large parts of present-day Cambodia and Thailand, as well as all of what is now Laos. After centuries of gradual decline, Laos came under the control of Siam (Thailand) from the late 18th century until the late 19th century when it became part of French Indochina. The Franco-Siamese Treaty of 1907 defined the current Lao border with Thailand. In 1975, the Communist Pathet Lao took control of the government ending a six-century-old monarchy and instituting a strict socialist regime closely aligned to Vietnam. A gradual return to private enterprise and the liberalization of foreign investment laws began in 1986. Laos became a member of ASEAN in 1997.

The government of Laos, one of the few remaining official Communist states, began decentralizing control and encouraging private enterprise in 1986. The results, starting from an extremely low base, were striking - growth averaged 6% in 1988-2004 except during the short-lived drop caused by the Asian financial crisis beginning in 1997. Despite this high growth rate, Laos remains a country with a primitive infrastructure. It has no railroads, a rudimentary road system, and limited external and internal telecommunications, though the government is sponsoring major improvements in the road system with possible support from Japan. Electricity is available in only a few urban areas. Subsistence agriculture, dominated by rice, accounts for about half of GDP and provides 80% of total employment. The economy will continue to benefit from aid by the IMF and other international sources and from new foreign investment in food processing and mining. Construction will be another strong economic driver, especially as hydroelectric dam and road projects gain steam. In late 2004, Laos gained Normal Trade Relations status with the US, allowing Laos-based producers to face lower tariffs on exports. This new status may help spur growth. In addition, the European Union has agreed to provide $1 million to the Lao Government for technical assistance in preparations for WTO membership. If the avian flu worsens and spreads in the region, however, prospects for tourism could dim.

Laos is one of the world's least developed countries; the Lao People's Armed Forces are small, poorly funded, and ineffectively resourced; there is little political will to allocate sparse funding to the military, and the armed forces' gradual degradation is likely to continue; the massive drug production and trafficking industry centered in the Golden Triangle makes Laos an important narcotics transit country, and armed Wa and Chinese smugglers are active on the Lao-Burma border.
