Norfolk and Norwich Has So Much to Offer the Hotel Visitor

Staying in a hotel in North Norfolk offers so many opportunities to explore this wonderful part of Britain.

There are beaches, harbours, coastline and then a whole range of marvellous market towns and picturesque villages, all with a pleasant pub, shop or an interesting attraction to explore.

Whether you are on a weekend break Norfolk, or in the area for a week or more on holiday, it is easy to fill your time with a range fascinating activities. And if you were just to head up to the county on spec and check into one of the excellent Norfolk Hotels, obliging and well-informed staff would be more than happy to offer a few suggestions as to how you may wish to spend your precious time in the county.

While the area closer to the coast has much to offer - whether you visit in winter, spring, autumn or winter - the county town of Norwich is not too far away and for those who have never visited, it is a real eye opener with its stunning array of medieval buildings, two wonderful cathedrals, scores of pubs and restaurants and some of the finest museums in the country.

There are a number of Norfolk Luxury Hotels close to Norwich and they make a perfect base for a city visit, or for heading off to the coast. In addition the Norfolk Broads are nearby as well.

The Norman imprint is strong in Norwich with the historic Castle and the soaring spire of the Anglican Cathedral dominating the skyline.

Norwich is full of hidden surprises and with a medieval network of lanes and alleys you never know what lies around the corner. They are lined with shops and bars, excellent restaurants and cafeterias. In addition for those who want a break from sightseeing in North Norfolk and need to spend a day doing some serious shopping, there are two fabulous shopping malls with major retailers present in each.

But for colour and vibrancy, don't forget to wander down the alleys of the market laid out close to the imposing City Hall, the ancient Guildhall and the modern facade of The Forum building
