Thailand's garment industry recovery 1-February 35% export growth

Thai Textile Industry Development Agency Huila, said the textile industry in Thailand has begun to grow from January to February 2010, textile exports rose 35% in Thailand, especially in fabric exports rose 30% on this year's overall export growth of textile industry hold more than 15% confidence, will not be worth less than 72 billion dollars.

Willard said, the Thai textile export growth markets include ASEAN and the EU, exports to these markets rose 50%, in particular the ASEAN market because of the ASEAN free trade agreement by the support of ASEAN countries to promote trade tariffs.

Willard said there are still a large number of investors investing in the construction of textile factories in Thailand to export to neighboring countries to be processed, such as Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. The reason is labor costs and transportation costs in Thailand is low, and the products of good quality, that the Thai textile industry should make more efforts to develop the ASEAN market.

Huíla, said ASEAN countries are ordered each year the total value of 180 fabric billion, while exports of ASEAN, Thailand fabric market value is only 15 billion U.S. dollars, there is still much room for growth. ASEAN countries ordered fabric from China worth over 10 billion U.S. dollars, if the Thai company can be adjusted to improve the quality of fabric to replace the fabric from China and Japan, will lead to a substantial increase in orders.

Thai Textile Industry Development Agency Huila said that although Thailand's textile export prospects, exports forecast up to 7.2 billion U.S. dollars this year, but there are a lack of domestic labor as much as tens of thousands of people, especially experienced textile engineers, for example, the shortage of textile dyeing industrial chemical experts and designers.

To this end, the textile industry to carry out human resources development agencies must step up training activities, scheduled for July 1-4 this year at the Bangkok International Convention and Exhibition Center (BITEC) held GFT exhibition will be held at the Young Designers Award competitions.

Thai Garment Industry Association, said Deputy Prime Kyrgyzstan, the current Thai operators to obtain a large number of orders, but the impact of a shortage of labor, the whole industry can not effectively improve productivity.

Sukit forecast, Thai garment exports this year, worth about 3.5 billion U.S. dollars, the overall value of Thai textile exports estimated 7.2 billion U.S. dollars.

Sukit that Thailand will continue to expand the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and the Asian market, forecast in the next 5-10 years will be an important export market, export quantity and order amount will be greatly, but there are a lack of Thai designers to the problem and the need to intensify Peixun.

Laos Transport

laos transport_2="laos transport"
conservation idea! need funds!?

I travelled to Thailand and wasnt impressed with the way many elephants are used to beg from tourists, i think such a noble animal deserves better quality of life! After long time in thailand i went to laos which is next door so to speak and found plenty of land ideal for elephant sanctuaries, where the elephants can have a life they deserve, upon my return to thailand i found that i could buy some of the elephants from the people involved, which i intend to do, but to transport, buy the land etc stretches 2 frinds and my pockets to the limits, we want to do this, its good kamma, but we are going to need help! ask away!
i live in the uk john, does that matter,if not how do i apply

I love where your heart is, but elephant-human conflicts are incredibly complex and difficult to deal with. You should acquire more information from a knowledgeable ecologist/biologist of the area to find out about more information before trying to relocate these elephants. I'm not claiming it is not possible, but it can't just be done on a whim! Good luck!!
