La cave guesthouse in Houaphanh opens for public
LAOS - A guesthouse near La cave-a popular tourist site in Nakoud village, Viengthong district, Houaphanh province is now completed.
The La cave is out of many tourist places in Houaphanh province is an attractive for tourists who visit and see natural views and historical site and the cultural unique is well conserved by Lao Phoun tribe. This area also creates income for villagers.
The construction of guesthouse in Nakoud village started in February and finished March 2011, aiming to accommodate and welcome tourists visiting this area.
The construction of guesthouse worth 90 million kip, 40 million kip of which was the grant aid of the Asian Development Bank's Sustainable Development Project and the rest was local people's fund.
The villagers have also contributed the equipment to the construction of guesthouse made by wood, consists of two bed rooms, a kitchen and three toilets.
The handover ceremony of guesthouse was held on 10 March under the witnesses of Head of Tourism Development and Planning Service of Houaphanh province, Mrs. Malaithong who has handed over the guesthouse to the Chief of Viengthong district, Mrs. Boualien Khammuenkhoun.
