Does communism "work" in China?
China is under single-party rule by the CPC, and has been since 1949. It's also regarded as one of the last 5 communist states on the earth (along with Cuba, NK, Vietnam, and Laos).
However, China is flourishing. Their GDP is expected to grow by over 9% this year and according to a Pew Research Center survey, 86% of Chinese citizens are satisfied with their country.
No. All of their success has been due to their acceptance of free market principles in what they call "special economic zones," which are free from the economic constraints of the rest of the nation.
The PRC is socialist in name only, and the party that governs it communist in name only.
