Tet promotions at hotels & resorts in Vietnam
Renaissance Riverside Hotel Saigon: From Feb. 3 to 12, the Riverside Café introduces the authentic Vietnamese Tet seafood buffet while the Kabin Chinese Restaurant has a traditional Chinese set menu inclusive of shark's fin for guests who will receive gifts after dining. The hotel also has various Tet accommodation packages exclusively for Vietnamese people and for all families and travelers.
Legend Hotel Saigon: On Feb. 3, the first day of the new Lunar Year, at 8 a.m. there will be a lion dance at the hotel's lobby, followed by a ceremony to present offerings to express appreciation to heaven, earth, deities and ancestors. The Lions will also go through the entire hotel, visiting each restaurant and bar to wish for blessings for Tet. From Feb. 2-5, the Atrium Café will feature Tet specialties from northern, central and southern regions of Vietnam.
The hotel is also offering Vietnamese and expatriates with Tet weekend packages from Jan. 14 to Feb. 27 that apply for stays on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Tet holidays (Jan. 31 – Feb. 7) and Valentine night. The package includes a complimentary buffet breakfast for two persons at Atrium Café, 10% discount on food & beverage, 20% discount on massage among others.
InterContinental Asiana Saigon Hotel: The Yu Chu Restaurant's culinary team is looking forward to bring luck, prosperity and wealth to diners through some traditional Vietnamese and Chinese specialties. Lao Yu Sheng, a special salad dish featuring strong colors from simple ingredients such as finely chopped onion, chili, carrot, fermented ginger and fresh salmon, "Khai Truong Hong Phat" and "Khai Hoa Phu Quy" are some highlights.
Novotel Nha Trang Hotel: On Lunar New Year Eve on Feb. 2, the hotel in the coastal central city of Nha Trang has a cocktail party on its roof terrace where guests can see the fireworks from 10 p.m. to midnight. During Tet holidays from Feb. 2-6, enjoy a New Year Day family set lunch with five courses and a seafood buffet dinner at the Square Restaurant. There's also a Lunar New Year 2011 package at Vous Spa.
Windsor Plaza Hotel: While dining or staying at the hotel from Feb. 2 to 5, the God of Fortune will present lì xì (lucky money). In addition, Ngan Dinh Chinese Restaurant has a host of special promotions and activities on tap to welcome the Year of the Cat that are available from Jan. 15 to Feb.2 besides Eastern feasts fit for royalty from Jan. 15 to Feb. 17 and the Yu Shang dish that is said to bring prosperity from Feb. 1 to 10. Meanwhile, the TOTT Bar & Restaurant on the 25th floor organizes a cocktail party on Feb. 2 for guests to welcome Tet and enjoy the fireworks.
Parkroyal Saigon: From Feb. 3-13, the Garden Brasserie Restaurant offers Vietnamese seafood and BBQ promotion, including one complimentary wine bottle. Kids also receive lucky money. Kids from 5 to 12 enjoy half price while there is one free seat for every six diners.
Duxton Hotel Saigon: From Jan. 21 to Feb. 6, capture the special mood of Tet at the Grill Restaurant with traditional dishes at the Tet dinner buffet. There will be a li xi lucky dip with prizes.
Life Resorts: From Jan. 27 to Feb. 8, Life Resorts' offshoots in Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province, and Hoi An Town, Quang Nam Province, run promotional packages for Tet. They include accommodation for two persons in a superior room at Life Heritage Resort Hoi An or a deluxe room at Life Wellness Resort Quy Nhon.
Vinpearl Resort & Spa
From Jan. 24 to Feb. 12, the Vinpearl Resort & Spa in Nha Trang City launches its program named "Welcoming the Year of Cat 2011" featuring many Tet traditional activities like lantern & firecracker decoration, parallel sentences' display, displays of apricot, peach blossom and kumquat, lion dance and exciting folk music performances. Indulge in the Vinpearl Tet feast featuring traditional food like banh chung (square glutinous rice cake), cu kieu (pickled scallion heads), dua chua (sour vegetable), cha gio (spring roll) and a local selection of wines.
Tourists who stay at the Vinpearl from Feb. 4 to Feb. 6 (or from the second to the fourth of the first lunar month) will receive special gifts from the resort while children will receive li xi (lucky money).
