Need a low price Hotel in Downtown Toronto close to the theatre district?
The Royal York is on the same street as most of the theaters. It is a great old hotel right across from the train station. At one time it was the largest building in Canada.
There are dozens of others on Front, York, and King Street between Spadina and Yonge Streets.
At Bay and Avenue Rd you have the Hytatt and Four Seasons, which are only a short taxi cab ride or subway ride to the area. This is where I would stay, rathter than in the theatre district.
I just checked Hotels.com and every hotel in the top 20 is close enough for you. If you can get Sutton Place for $120.00 a night, that's an incredible steal. That's the price I see on Hotels.com. I stay there all the time.
