My friend is a Lao citizen. What can I do to help her visit the US for 30 days or so?
She has a Lao passport, but she lives in Thailand. The LAO embassy has information on its website, but it appears to be for people going from the US/Canada going TO Lao. Instead, I need to find out about her coming to the US for a visit.
Why would you look at the Laos Embassy website, you have to look at the US Embassy website in either Laos or Thailand. She will have to show that she has strong ties to her home country so that she would return. This means she has a job to return to, she has a family to care for in either Thailand or Laos.
