How to make Masala peanuts?

while in Vientiene Laos i would go to a nice Indian restaurant for late afternoon beer. They had what they called Masala peanuts. Yumm. is there a standard reciepe for these? thank you Namaste.
oh, I know there are receipes on net. I'm wondering about what is popular in India, or anywhere with Indian people.


1. Masala Peanuts

Peanuts (raw)
finely chopped onions
finely chopped green chillies
salt
red chilly powder
chat masala (from inidan grocer)
oil


heat a little oil,add peanuts to cook/fry them, when almost done add onions, let the onions cook for 1-2 minutes, add salt,chat masala and red chilly powder, you will have to be really fast so as not to burn red chilly powder. So add it finally and take the whole masala peanuts in a platter.

2. Masala Peanuts

Roasted peanuts
Chopped onions
salt
chopped coriander
lemon juice
a very little chat masala to taste
(You can add Bombay Mix to it)

Mix all and finally add a little lemon juice, and chat masala to taste.Can sprinke a little bombay mix

3. Masala peanuts

Make a batter of gram flour, adding chat masala, red chilly powder,salt, cumin powder, cornflour

Soak peanuts(raw) in water for . Take oil in a deep frying pan and by the time it gets hot, put the peanuts in gram flour batter, deep fry them....you will really enjoy this one.
