Successful international volunteering overseas. The same as for any ex pat overseas– be prepared!
If you start a new job, do you think it is a good idea to come unprepared? If you feel, as a volunteer going overseas to Thailand, Laos, Cambodia or Nepal, that it is enough to bring your good will and skills, don't consider OpenmindProjects! If you however appreciate some of the most successful volunteer training programs overseas available, then consider us!

Prepare yourself for a volunteer abroad challenge.
To be a successful volunteer overseas Every month OpenmindProjects hosts a 3-day volunteer overseas and cross culture training program for volunteers and travelers at our Volunteer and Training Center in Nong Khai, Thailand. The objective of our volunteer training is to help you become a successful volunteer and to help you to use your special volunteer talents in a new culture. A successful volunteer abroad brings not only his/her technical skills but also social and cross-cultural skills, curiosity, self confidence, and patience. Our training is focused on boosting these skills and your feeling comfortable overseas, your self-confidence even when out of your comfort zone.

During our volunteer overseas training, you will learn about Southeast Asian culture, language, dress, and social codes. You will be immersed in the local culture on the very first day by interacting and meeting with local people. Our philosophy is activity based "learning by doing", and that is exactly how our volunteer overseas training program at OpenmindProjects is run. This volunteer training is mandatory for most of our volunteers and projects, and it is highly recommended by past volunteers who went abroad to Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Nepal as well as by local authorities, teachers, national park managers, headmasters.
