What must all be figured in planning a trip from Omaha Nebraska to Los Angeles, California?

Just getting a head start on planning a trip from Omaha, Nebraska to Laos Angeles, California. I NEED to talk to California people. I know nobody there! The trip will be for two weeks and it'll be my girlfriend and me, both adults, both with money, but we need prices for plane tickets, lodging, we're not tourists, we just want to scope out a city in California for a possible move. Anything worthwhile that I should know, please answer, comment, give advice. Thanks so much.

You can find prices for airline tickets and lodgings by doing web searches. I've traveled to many places and was always able to find hotel and airline information, even making my reservations online.

Try http://www.expedia.com/

also, the website of the airline(s) that go to Los Angeles from the city you'll be flying from. I do this because they are reliable and sometimes have the best deals.

And the websites for some of the chain motels like Best Western, Holiday Inn, Super 8, and Motel 6.

what are the historical and tourist places in Laos?

hi, a Lonely planet guide to Laos would be a good investment if oyu are going.

There is the "Gibbon Experience" close to "Luang Nam Tha" you can then boat it down the Mekong River to "Luang Phrabang" if you take a visa on arrival of 15days, visiting the above 3 places should take up most of your time.

enjoy

About back to back torist visa from the Thai embassy in Lao?

When my current "O" type visa expires I believe I can do a "Visa run" to Vientiane every 15 days back to back visa exempt.
What I want to know s can I do this with a 60 day tourist visa, I mean Back to back as with the 15 day visa exempt stamp,.
I live near Nong Kai so border crossing no hassle for me.
I have not been able to find any answers ar Thai Visa or the Embassy in Laos, unless I go there and ask at the desk
Dont want any other info thanks Eg visa extention. info
I mean when my currant visa has EXPIRED ,
Negeshia. Please look up the latest rule regarding visa exemtion, that leaving Thailand for 90 days no longer apply's. I can leave Thailand AT THE END of my currant visa and re enter every 15 days as long as I like however that would not only mean $35 every 15 days for a Lao visa but also my passport would soon be full. Im just looking for a better option than returning to Ausralia for a new 12 month non "O" visa

Don't understand. You have a "o" visa but what you want to do is go on a visa run and get a tourist Visa at the Thai Embassy (Gives you 60 days) and go again in 60 days and get another 60 day tourist visa?

If your on a tourist Visa you can get one 60 day and two 15 day for a total of 90, then you gotta go out of Thailand for 90 days. You don't want to extend the "O" visa.

Do Thai like foreign tourists or do they despise them?

I understand from a few travellers, farang married to Thais and also from my own experiences that Thai only tolerate foreigners because of the tourist dollar they bring.

The Thais have a number of nasty phrases in their own language about foreigners.

When I am in Thailand I really dont feel welcome as I do in China, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia

In my experience it is a lot more difficult to get along with other nationalities. Thai people will leave you be and are very tolerant.

I am sure there is a bad apple in every basket.

You will always be a farang -foreigner- in Thailand. You always will be called farang where ever you go and if this bothers you, Thailand may not be such a Paradise for you. It is not meant to insult you but it's deeply engrained in the way Thai people refer to white people.

Thai people must be the most sociable nation on the planet. They are extremely friendly in particular in areas with few tourists. A smile from another person is always replied to with a smile. If they seem unsure about you it is probably because they are shy....a smile usually takes care of it and will be replied with a smile.

Five Surefire Tips for Enticing Bed and Breakfast Brochures

You know for yourself that your bed and breakfast will be a haven for every traveler. But in your brochures, are you letting people know? In case you’re not sure, then don’t worry – here are five surefire tips to get more guests booking in your bed and breakfast inn.

Attract More Guests with Your Bed and Breakfast Brochures

  • Include photos of rooms and outdoor scenery. Create a tantalizing atmosphere of your bed and breakfast inn through your brochures with beautiful pictures. Show photos of your guest rooms ready to welcome newcomers warmly, and add photos of breathtaking scenery guests can see from their windows.

  • Mention the minimum; put the rest on your website. If you want to save on brochure printing or have information about your bed and breakfast that can change easily, this is the best rule of thumb to work with when designing your brochure. This way you will also have more space to tickle your reader’s imagination about what your bed and breakfast services have to offer.

  • Inviting, descriptive brochure copy sells! Avoid passive sentences, and feed as many lively descriptions about your bed and breakfast as you can so your reader can almost feel they’re in the place themselves. Appeal to the five senses, and create compelling images for your readers without going overboard.

  • Add quick contact information for tourist spots nearby. If tourists have to make reservations in advance for tourist spots near your inn, it may be best to add contact information about these spots so your guests can make the needed arrangements themselves. This way they will also get a more concrete idea about what sights and experiences they are in for if they take the plunge and schedule a reservation at your inn.

  • Print on quality brochures for the best effect! Your brochure’s photos and copy are designed to create an irresistible bed and breakfast allure; don’t let low quality printing ruin the whole effect! Look up some local Los Angeles printing services that are well known for their affordable yet quality printing, and conveniently set up your brochure printing online. Done right, your bed and breakfast brochures will make the rounds with all kinds of travelers, letting you book more and more guests throughout the year!

Saigon Tourist

saigon tourist="saigon tourist"

Saigon - Paris Of The East

Ho Chi Minh City or Saigon, as it was known in olden times is unmistakably one of those preferred holiday destinations in Asia. This city has a special place among the tourist destinations as it has a unique property of evoking feeling of that of exotic lands and also the charms of old world. Here the blend of an old structure with the newer ones can be very effectively viewed. The streets of this unique city are lined up by large corporate offices along with those older French colonial architectural beauties. Thus it is unmistakably Saigon where one could well see this blend. Here one could find a group of dynamic people who are very much busy with their business activities, along with those saffron-robed monks who collect alms for their living. Thus, although the city is busy with international business schedules, the charm and beauty of ancient Asia is very well retained.

The Vietnamese took over the city from the hamlet of Cambodian rulers and was later made the capital of French colony of Cochin-China. The current name is after its great communist leader Ho Chi Minh and is thus a tribute to the great man. It has got a population of about 9 million and is therefore the largest in Vietnam. It was during the colonial period that the city was renovated with streets that are broad along with colonial architecture that have passed the test of time to last even to now. The city has got a tropical humid climate with average humidity of about 75%. There are two distinct seasons- the rainy season from May to November and the dry months from December to April. The dry season is the best time to visit the city as the humidity level will be much lower.

There are lots of tourist attractions in the city. Among them is the History Museum. A huge collection of artifacts are arranged or housed in this museum. There is also a water puppet theatre inside the museum and along with this a gift shop too. Yet another great museum is the War Remnants Museum. It is famous for the exhibit of American War Crimes. Yet another place to mention is the Reunification Palace. There is a huge party room, a gambling room, a movie theatre and lavish reception halls. Many pagodas can be found around the city and among these the Nghia An Hoi Quan is the best. The City Hall is yet another architectural marvel that is a must see one. It is a best example for the colonial architecture of the French. Notre Dame Cathedral is also another of those structures. The Saigon River adds to the beauty of the city.

A lot of water parks are there in order to cool you from the heat. There are Dame Sen water Park and Saigon Water Park to get added up in the list. A lot others are also there in the list. Shopping is yet another feature of this place. Lots of handicraft items and tourist souvenirs are available for shopping. The bargaining skills of people can be very much handful here. Dong Khai and Le Thanh Ton are among the best shopping areas here. The services to the city are made through Tan Son Nhat airport, which is the largest in Vietnam. Here the immigration rules are much stricter and hence lot of time is needed for the purpose. Cach Mang Thang Tam station is the nearest railway station to the city center. Again taxi is the best option to go through the city. Motorbike taxis are also there which will be much cheaper than others. Renting a bike is also a good way to explore the beauty of the city.

Unmistakably Saigon is known as the Paris of the East. In the area there are 50 small restaurants that are excellent to go for. There are also many number of internet centers along with glossary and general store. There are traditional cultural shows at the opera house and night clubs situated which adds to the beauty of the city. Vung Tau is a peninsular on the cost and is the nearest seaside to that of Saigon. There is an extra ordinary post office, exotic murals, old colonial hotels, and red-brick cathedral etc which are all worth watching. Thus Saigon or Shanghai or Ho Chi Minh is a strong contender among tourist destinations in Asia.
