why could not use the word Thai in SEA game 2009?
SEA game 2009 in Laos I saw the word Muay only
The word Muay means boxing in Lao & Thai language,
Muay Thai means boxing Thai style
Muay Lao mean boxing Laos style
Cambodia, Malaysia and the other countries have their own name for that style of boxing.

I guess they wanted to be neutral and just call it Muay.
Sort of like if in the Olympics they had an event called German Downhill Skiing, it wouldn't seem right would it?
